There haven’t been many new posts recently but never fear! The site is still very much alive and kicking, and we have some great stuff coming up!

The Floating Island contest:

The island contest is now officially over, so prepare for judging over the next couple of weeks. That will depend largely on whether Modern Warfare 2 continues to absorb our waking lives.

Upcoming recruitment:

Coming soon: the opportunity to work with LBPmedia, posting news and updating the site. Hold on for try-outs, where we’ll give you a pass to post your articles on the front page! If we’re particurlarly impressed, we may just give a permanent place on the team. Video editors and other media producers may be in for a chance too! More on that in the near future!

Guess who's back from gobblers knob?

While we may not know whether there’ll be six more weeks of winter this year, we definately do know that Punxatawney Phil, aka the Groundhog Day groundhog, will be back in the form of dlc this week, so look out if you missed it last year!

Plus the Beta Bug Blaster costume is beginning to be released this week, so check you’re PM’s on the EU LBP Beta Forum if you took part, they should have messaged you there, if you’re going to recieve one.

I talked to Spaff over at the LittleBigWorkshop yesterday and asked him about ways that we could do something to get some Mm publicity. Well luckily Spaff is a fan of our site and said that he would be willing to help us out if we could come up with something big.  Well actually, what he told me was that they would write about something big, but only tweet about something small.

Now I know we have a lot of stuff in the works right now, but wouldn’t it be great if we could come up with something big so we could make a place on the map that is LittleBigPlanet?!

It was LBP’s birthday not long ago, but now it’s time to bring back out the cake for LittleBigPodcast’s birthday as they reach over 40 Pod Casts! Austin and Daniel (The Pod Caster’s) invited Tom and (Spaff) to be guests on their 40th Pod Cast episode.

So happy birthday, and good luck for the many Pod Casts sure to come!

Media Molecule’s big birthday card made by all the LBP fans has been sewn together and is now Here!
The card was great success, we had approx over 200 entries, great job everyone! You may have missed signing the card but it’s not too late, if you didn’t get a chance you can now sign the “Late Birthday Card” Here!. Here are some of the Birthday card messages:

Patch 1.20 has been released for LBP today so named “Celtic Promise”, no details have been announced only that it is 23mb and is a DLC patch, no hidden features that have been sneaked in this time around, rumours of the search functionalities engine being fixed are not true, or at least haven’t been announced.
But there is some exiting news about Patch 1.21 and the Leerdammer patch from mnimmo1986 over at The Official PS Boards he had this to say in his LBP patch details thread about the patch:

“The 1.20 update to the game is indeed more content, rather anything too massive, however I can reveal that 1.21 is the fabled and oft heard of Leerdammer update.
I can’t say when it’s coming just yet, but the fact that it’s next in the queue should give you some indication.”

So it looks like the Leerdammer patch is in the front of the que and the next patch to be released on LBP. And if you don’t know what this means well the Leerdammer patch includes:

• * Profile space has been increased by 250 times.
• * Create levels online with your friends.
• Net-code tweaks and fixes (No official word on these fixes fixing the lag issues with LBP)
• Other features may be included in the future.
• Note: The Water kit is not inside the Leerdammer patch, no info on water has been released (only Media Molecule know of it’s released date), also there hasn’t been an announcement or official word of a LBP Home space being released simultaneously on “Playstation Home”, any rumours should be taken as untrue until they are announced officially by Media Molecule. The patch has nether been announced to increase the 20/20 levels limit on-line.
