While working upon a handy dlc schedule for the site, I noticed that Saint Paddy’s day is coming up and presumably this fetching leprechaun costume to go with it! Watch out on the playstation store next week if you missed out on it last time!

Essentially, they worked infinity ward like dogs on a project they didnt want to do, then fired its bosses after release and seized control of the company. Throw in some interrrogations and you get the idea. So maybe think before buying another activivision game!

This level is really crazy! You are going to the big city but something goes wrong! The travel bus stops and you go to a farm to kill some time while the bus repairs.
Everything on this farm is crazy! There are cows, pigs, chickencannons, aliens and some people,
and these people need your help!

Really cool level who uses the 3-D layer glitch in a perfect way
AWESOME!

2 Pong survival extreme

This is a very cool survival challenge,you are flying in a jet pack when small balls fly around you!
If you touch a ball you will die.
The balls fly in to the walls but the walls bounce them back again!
And so it keeps on until you die.

Really original! (still cant figure out how it works though)

3:Sacky potter and the philosophers sponge

This level have everything from the book but is a little short =(

You are a test subject that tries to flee from the crazy scientist!
With tricky tricks and a weird story this is one of my favorite levels i ever played!
But in the third level everything go nuts and i dosent get the story right.

Cool level but is dosent have that little extra that every good level have.

These two happy-gadders have taken it upon themselves to randomly review levels on LittleBigPlanet. Going by their gut instinct, they choose a random level on the ‘Cool Pages’ and they get down to business, giving it their verdict, and wether it really is ‘Cool’.

Whilst reviewing these ‘Cool’ levels, they also record their goings on as they play, with some fun commentating… Using the power of YouTube, they quickly and frequently add reviews to their ever growing list of ‘Cool Levels’.

Using a lighthearted and a ‘let’s-not-bash-this-level’ approach, these two folks make their reviews fun, and interesting, as well as some humour sprinkled on top!

On The 9th February LittleBigPlanet PSP will be receiving a big update, when Media Molecule say big they mean big, Strawberry Cheesecake (update 2.03) is packed full of great new functionality and improvements to edit mode.

Here’s the full list of changes:

Community Features

• It is now possible to scroll through the downloaded levels list immediately after completing the playthrough of a downloaded level. A change well worth making. So we did!
• Search types have been improved, and more levels can be seen on each page on the community moon.
• Pressing the triangle button  at the Community Moon menu will refresh the community data for all of your downloaded levels. If you want to upload the full set of all your high scores and download everybody else’s then this is the place to do it.

 

Usability

• A copy and paste function has been added to the editor, which can be accessed after selecting an object and opening the tweak option. Which is nice.
• Shapes can be scaled and rotated before placing them.
• MyObjects and object-based gadgets can be rotated before placing them.
• Items held together by gadgets can be scaled.
• Gadgets such as pistons, rods, etc. can have their positions edited after being placed
• The drag selection mechanism has been improved so that it will only select objects if they are entirely surrounded.
• Gluing supports user directed input. Side to side gluing is now allowed in preference over gluing backwards, which was the default.
• Sound objects are now labelled in the tweak menu for reference, once they’ve been placed in a level.
• The option to disable the undo/redo feature has been added to the menu – very useful if you want to avoid pause times on large levels, and handle everything through manual saves instead.

 

Editor Functionality

• When switching to and from create mode, materials and gadgets will not drift when repeatedly selected.
• Dynamic objects joined to static objects by dissolve material will separate and move once the dissolve material has been destroyed.
• Detaching glued objects correctly remembers the original static or dynamic nature of the individual glued objects.
• A material’s rotation will not drift between saves.
• Stickers applied to an emitted object stay attached to the object if the emitter itself is moved.
• Creatures only jump if Sackboy is nearby.
• Sensor switches and buttons save their initial states properly.
• Deleting a switch will not delete the object it was glued to.
• When a material is changed to peach floaty it will become buoyant.
• Pistons connected to an inverted switch trigger correctly on level load.
• Magic mouths with no text have the speech bubble disabled in play mode.
• Wobble bolts’ angle and flipper properties save correctly in Create Mode.
• Scoreboards only check above the base for Sackboy’s presence, previously it was possible to trigger them from below.

 

My Objects

• You can capture MyObjects within MyObjects. Oh yes.
• Emitters, scoreboards, prize bubbles can be captured as part of MyObjects.
• You can attach gadgets to Collected Objects and MyObjects.
• The bolt stability in MyObjects has been improved.
• You can change material classes, including the lethality of MyObjects.
• We have improved the capture capacity for MyObjects to allow for larger, more complex items to be captured.

 

Corner Editing

• This update features improved corner editing of glued objects. Previously, editing could be blocked if corners were on the glued edge of an object.
• Corner editing an object with gadgets attached doesn’t cause them to detach.
• Corner editing checks all planes (not just the foremost one) for collisions.
• Stickers do not disappear when corner editing.
• The game autosaves after a corner editing session.
• It was possible to make an object invisible by using the corner edit tool, this has been blocked.

 

Play Mode

• Sackboy doesn’t get stuck on edges when he should fall to the floor.
• The ‘return to main menu’ and ‘continue’ options work whilst the scoreboard is active.

 

Stability

• Last, but not least: Numerous stability issues have also been addressed.

It’s a creator’s kit containing hearts, flowers, kittens, chocolates, and other gifts to make your levels all pink and romantic, and you can pick it up on the LittleBigStore this coming Thursday, for one week only!

Also back this week to celebrate the Chinese new year are the two Chinese new year costumes, a traditional his and her costume, they’ll only be available until the 17th so you’d better make sure you check the store this Thursday.

For those of you with LBP PSP feeling in the mode for love there are two new packs coming to the store this thursday ready for Valentines day.

First up is the Lurve costume, this is:

A giant heart costume will help your Sackboy or Sackgirl to spread the lurve this valentine’s day.

Secondly there is the Lurve theme pack, filled with things one might need for level creating this Valentines day. It contains:

A fantastic assortment of new costumes and stickers to help make your levels as fluffy and lovely as a basket of kittens.

The Floating Island contest:

The island contest is now officially over, so prepare for judging over the next couple of weeks. That will depend largely on whether Modern Warfare 2 continues to absorb our waking lives.

Guess who's back from gobblers knob?

While we may not know whether there’ll be six more weeks of winter this year, we definately do know that Punxatawney Phil, aka the Groundhog Day groundhog, will be back in the form of dlc this week, so look out if you missed it last year!

Plus the Beta Bug Blaster costume is beginning to be released this week, so check you’re PM’s on the EU LBP Beta Forum if you took part, they should have messaged you there, if you’re going to recieve one.

A new dimension in happy gadding was demonstrated to a select group of people in an event at Evolution Studios, the makers of Motorstorm – which was also shown in 3D. Not surprisingly, we weren’t invited but Eurogamer’s Rich Leadbetter said that the technology gave LBP’s landscapes “a phenomenal sense of depth” and that it puts an end the the confusion which players sometimes get over which of the three planes Sackboy is on.

During the non-playable demo, attendees were also shown a eye-catching new intro sequence which has Sackboy magically turn from 2D into 3D as he dons his own stereoscopic glasses.

Who knows when or even if LittleBigPlanet will hit our own +£4000 TVs in 3D, but from the sounds of things, the technology really can make a big impact on actual gameplay as well as visuals.
